Our 316Ti Square Stainless Steel Tubes are remarkable. With added titanium, they resist sensitization and intergranular corrosion, even in high - temperature welding. The 16 - 18% chromium and 10 - 14% nickel, along with 2 - 3% molybdenum, endow superior general and pitting corrosion resistance, especially in chloride - rich settings like marine and chemical industries.
These tubes offer high strength, with a tensile strength ≥530MPa and yield strength ≥205MPa, ensuring they can bear substantial loads. They also feature good formability and weldability, allowing for easy shaping and joining. Available in various sizes, they're perfect for demanding applications needing both durability and corrosion protection.
Hot-rolled surface, annealed and pickled, can be used as cold-rolling material, industial tanks and chem i cal devices.

Production Process
Product Description
1. Enhanced High-Temperature Corrosion Resistance (Key Advantage of Titanium Addition)
The most critical feature of 316Ti is its improved stability under high temperatures and harsh corrosive conditions—directly enabled by titanium:
Resistance to Intergranular Corrosion (IGC) at High Temperatures: Standard 316 stainless steel contains carbon, which can react with chromium (Cr) to form chromium carbides when exposed to temperatures between 450–850°C (842–1562°F) (e.g., during welding, heat treatment, or high-temperature industrial processes). This depletes chromium near the grain boundaries, breaking the dense chromium oxide passive film and causing "intergranular corrosion" (cracking along grain boundaries). Titanium in 316Ti has a stronger affinity for carbon than chromium. It binds with carbon to form titanium carbides instead, preserving chromium in the material matrix. This keeps the passive film intact, making 316Ti highly resistant to IGC even after prolonged exposure to high temperatures.
Superior Oxidation Resistance at Elevated Temperatures: At temperatures above 800°C (1472°F), 316Ti resists oxidation better than standard 316. The titanium-stabilized structure prevents the formation of brittle oxide scales that peel off easily, maintaining structural integrity in high-heat environments (e.g., industrial furnaces, exhaust systems).
2. Excellent Chloride & General Corrosion Resistance (Inherited from 316 Base Alloy)
Like standard 316, 316Ti contains molybdenum (Mo, ~2–3%) and high chromium (Cr, ~16–18%), giving it industry-leading resistance to chloride-induced corrosion and general wear:
Resistance to Pitting & Crevice Corrosion: Molybdenum enhances the passive film’s ability to withstand chloride ions (common in seawater, coastal air, salt solutions, and chemical processes). This makes 316Ti far more durable than 304 stainless steel in chloride-rich environments—critical for marine, offshore, or chemical applications where pitting (localized rust holes) or crevice corrosion (corrosion in tight gaps, e.g., between pipe joints) is a major risk.
Resistance to Mild Acids/Bases: It withstands erosion from weak acids (e.g., sulfuric acid, acetic acid in food processing), alkalis, and industrial solvents, making it suitable for chemical processing pipelines, acid storage tank supports, and food/beverage equipment.
316Ti retains excellent mechanical properties, even under stress or temperature fluctuations, and the square cross-section amplifies its structural advantages:
High Tensile & Yield Strength: Typical mechanical properties (annealed state):
Tensile strength: 515–655 MPa
Yield strength (0.2% offset): ≥205 MPa
Elongation: ≥40% These values ensure the tube can withstand static/dynamic loads (e.g., structural support, machinery frames) without deformation or cracking. At high temperatures (up to 600°C/1112°F), its strength retention is also better than standard 316.
Square Cross-Section Benefits: The uniform square shape complements 316Ti’s material strength with structural advantages:
Even Stress Distribution: Equal side lengths spread load stress (from weight, pressure, or torsion) across all four sides, avoiding localized stress concentration—ideal for load-bearing applications like building columns or industrial equipment frames.
Superior Rigidity vs. Round Tubes: With the same material grade and wall thickness, 316Ti square tubes have a larger moment of inertia (a measure of bending resistance) than round tubes. This makes them more resistant to bending/torsion, critical for structural components (e.g., offshore platform railings, heavy machinery brackets).
Easy Installation: Flat sides simplify attachment to flat surfaces (walls, floors) and precise splicing with other components (no adapters needed), reducing assembly time.
Packing & Delivery
