1. Excellent Corrosion & Rust Resistance (Core Material Advantage)
As a product of stainless steel (common grades include SUS304, SUS316, SUS430), stainless steel rods rely on the chromium (≥10.5%) in their composition to form a dense, self-repairing chromium oxide passive film on the surface. This film effectively isolates the base metal from corrosive media, giving the rods outstanding resistance to:
Atmospheric corrosion: Withstands humidity, rain, and air pollutants (e.g., urban smog) without rusting, suitable for outdoor structural parts (e.g., guardrail supports, outdoor hardware).
Chemical corrosion: SUS304 resists mild acids (e.g., vinegar, fruit juices) and household detergents; SUS316 (added molybdenum) further enhances resistance to strong acids (e.g., sulfuric acid, seawater), making it ideal for marine, chemical, or food processing equipment.
Oxidation at high temperatures: Maintains stability in high-temperature environments (e.g., 400-800°C for SUS304), avoiding oxidation peeling, so it can be used in high-temperature pipelines or furnace components.

Stainless steel rods have excellent tensile strength, yield strength, and toughness, which are further optimized by processing methods (e.g., cold drawing, hot rolling):
Cold-drawn rods: After room-temperature drawing, their tensile strength (up to 700-900 MPa for SUS304) and hardness are significantly improved, with tight dimensional tolerance (±0.01-0.05 mm). They are suitable for precision parts (e.g., bolts, shafts, gears) that require high load-bearing capacity and dimensional accuracy.
Hot-rolled rods: Retain good ductility while ensuring basic strength, making them easy to cut, forge, or weld. They are often used in large structural parts (e.g., construction steel bars, machinery brackets) that do not require ultra-fine dimensions.
Long service life: Resists wear, fatigue, and corrosion, so the service life of stainless steel rods (especially SUS304/SUS316) can reach 20-50 years in normal environments—far longer than carbon steel rods (prone to rust) or aluminum rods (lower strength).

Despite their high strength, stainless steel rods maintain good processability, adapting to diverse manufacturing needs:
Machinability: Can be easily turned, milled, drilled, tapped, or ground to produce complex shapes (e.g., threaded rods, stepped shafts, hexagonal rods for fasteners).
Weldability: Compatible with common welding methods (e.g., TIG, MIG, arc welding). Welded joints retain high strength and corrosion resistance (with proper post-weld passivation), suitable for assembling large structures (e.g., steel frames, equipment frames).
Formability: Cold-drawn rods can be bent or twisted into specific curves (within ductility limits) without cracking, making them ideal for custom hardware (e.g., handrails, decorative curved parts).

Hygiene: The non-porous surface prevents the accumulation of bacteria, dust, or food residues, and is easy to sterilize. This meets the hygiene standards of the food industry (e.g., food processing equipment shafts), medical industry (e.g., surgical instrument components), and catering facilities (e.g., kitchen hardware).
Low maintenance: Routine cleaning only requires wiping with a damp cloth or neutral detergent; no anti-rust coatings or frequent maintenance are needed. Even if surface stains or minor scratches occur, simple polishing can restore the surface state.
