Our 4x8 GI Corrugated Galvanized Steel Sheets excel in versatility and durability. Crafted from high-quality galvanized iron (GI), they feature a robust zinc coating that resists rust and corrosion, ideal for outdoor or humid environments.
The 4x8 size fits standard construction needs, minimizing waste. The corrugated design boosts structural strength, withstanding wind, rain, and snow. Lightweight yet sturdy, they’re easy to transport and install, saving time and labor. Perfect for roofs, walls, or sheds in industrial, agricultural, or residential projects—offering long life, low maintenance, and cost-effectiveness.
Corrugated sheet is a new material with light weight (hollow structure), non-toxic, no pollution, waterproof, shockproof,anti-aging, corrosion resistance and rich color. Corrugated sheet is mainly used in electronics, packaging, machinery, light industry, postal, food, medicine, pesticides, household appliances, advertising, decoration, cultural articles, optical and magnetic technology, biological engineering medicine and health and other industries.
1. Strong Corrosion Resistance (Core Advantage of Galvanization)
The sheet surface is coated with a layer of zinc (hot-dip galvanized or electro-galvanized). Zinc acts as a "sacrificial anode"—it oxidizes first to form a dense zinc oxide/zinc carbonate film, which blocks direct contact between steel and air, moisture, or corrosive substances (e.g., rain, humidity, mild industrial fumes).
Suitable for harsh environments: Performs well in coastal areas (resists salt spray corrosion) and humid regions, with a typical service life of 15–25 years (longer if maintained properly, e.g., avoiding scratches on the zinc layer).
2. High Structural Strength & Load-Bearing Capacity
Made of low-carbon steel (base material) with a corrugated design: The corrugated structure significantly enhances the sheet’s bending resistance, compressive strength, and impact resistance compared to flat steel sheets.
Can withstand external loads such as heavy rain, snow accumulation, or mild wind pressure without deformation. It is also less prone to damage from accidental impacts (e.g., falling small debris).
3. Standardized 4x8 Size for Easy Installation
The 4ft × 8ft dimension is a global industry standard, perfectly matching most roofing/siding span requirements (e.g., residential eaves, workshop roofs). This reduces the number of joints during installation, saving labor time and improving construction efficiency.
Lightweight relative to its strength: A single 4x8 GI sheet weighs approximately 25–35 lbs (11–16 kg, depending on thickness), making it easy to transport, lift, and install manually (no heavy machinery required for small-scale projects).
4. Excellent Waterproof & Drainage Performance
The corrugated (wave-shaped) profile is engineered for efficient water flow: Rainwater or melted snow quickly slides down along the corrugation grooves, avoiding water accumulation on the surface. This minimizes the risk of water seepage through gaps or sheet deformation.
When installed with matching fasteners (e.g., galvanized screws with rubber washers), the joint tightness is further enhanced, ensuring long-term waterproofing.
Roofing materials: Widely used in industrial plants, warehouses, shopping malls, farmhouses and other roof structures.
Wall materials: Suitable for exterior walls, fences, partition walls, etc. of buildings, with anti-corrosion and aesthetic effects.
Temporary buildings: Temporary sheds, warehouses and enclosures at construction sites, etc. Corrugated sheets can be quickly assembled and disassembled.
Decorative applications: In the exterior or interior decoration design of buildings, exhibition halls, stores, etc.
